How to remove and install the fuel filter of Isuzu EFI diesel engine for excavators

1 Fuel filter removal and installation 

 a .Tighten the tap plug (1 in Fig. 4-1). 

 b. Prepare the waste oil tank (2 in Figure 4-2).

   c. Loosen the exhaust cock (3 in Figure 4-2) with a wrench (22mm).

d.Remove the drain cock (4 in Figure 4-3).

 

 

 

e. Drain the fuel (Fig. 4-4).

 

f. Use a filter wrench (5 in Figure 4-5) to remove the cover (6 in Figure 4-5)

   g.Replace the filter element (7 in Figure 4-6) and. Shaped ring (8 in Figure 4-6). Cannot be reused. O-rings must be replaced with new O-rings. 

 h. After replacing the filter, use the filter wrench (5 in Figure 4-7) to install the cover (6 in Figure 4-7).

 i. Loosen the exhaust cock (3 in Figure 4-8) with a wrench (10mm). 

 j. After turning the priming pump (9 in Figure 4-8) of the filter housing in the direction indicated by the arrow, the knob will pop out. Press and release the priming pump until the fuel filter is full of fuel (more than 10 times). If fuel seeps into the filter housing, lightly tighten the vent cock. After the cock is tight, press the knob a few times. Finally, hold down the knob and loosen the vent cock slightly. Fuel is bubbling from the hose (10, Figure 4-9). 

 k,Repeat the operation of ⑩ until no air bubbles seep out.
