Please ensure that all adjustments and repairs made to the fuel system are performed by properly trained authorized personnel.
Before starting any work on the fuel system, refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual, “General Hazard Information and High Pressure Fuel Line”for safety information.

1. Turn the battery open circuit switch to the open position.
2. Turn the fuel supply to the disconnected position.
3. Make temporary identification marks on the plastic pipe assembly to show the correct position of the plastic pipe assembly.
4. Place the appropriate container under the fuel filter base to hold all the fuel that may be spilled.
5. Disconnect the plastic pipe assembly from the joint (1). Use the tool (A) to plug the plastic tube assembly. Cover it with the tool (A)

6. Disconnect the plastic pipe assembly from the joint (2). Use the tool (A) and plug in the plastic pipe assembly. Cover the connector (2) with the tool (A).
7. Disconnect the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) wiring harness assembly (6) from the fuel water content sensor (5).
8. Remove the bolts (2) (not shown) and then remove the fuel crude filter assembly (4) from the mounting bracket.
9. If necessary, follow steps 9a to 9.g to remove the fuel crude filter assembly (4).
a. Remove the ventilation screw assembly (7) and O-ring seal (8). Use the tool (A) to plug the crude fuel filter (4). Cover the vent screw assembly (7) with the tool (A).
b. Remove the joint (1) and then remove the O-ring seal (10). Use the tool (A) and plug the crude fuel filter (4). Cover the connector (1) with the tool (A).
c. Remove the joint (2) and then remove the O-ring seal (13). Use the tool (A) and plug the crude fuel filter (4). Cover the connector (1) with the tool (A).
d. Remove the plug (12) and the O-ring seal (13). Use the tool (A) to plug the crude fuel filter (4).e. Remove the plug (15) and the O-ring seal (14). Use the tool (A) to plug the crude fuel filter (4).
f. Remove the fuel water sensor (6) and remove the O-ring seal (17).
g. Remove the filter element from the fuel filter filter tank (16). For correct steps, refer to the operation and maintenance manual, “Fuel system crude filter (oil-water separator) filter-Replace”.
